HYATTSVILLE/LANDOVER
(MD) ALUMNI CHAPTER LINEAGE
On March 18, 1979, 22 Strong
Kappamen chartered the first alumni chapter in
Prince George's County, Maryland. Since our
chartering, our chapter has been a force in the
community implementing programs that address the
needs of the youth as well as the needs of the
county in general with our Social Action and
Political Action initiatives. Being the oldest
Kappa chapter in the county and two-time Paul W.
Caine International Chapter of the Year award
winner (1995 & 1997), our chapter has laid the
foundation that other Kappa chapters in the county
now follow. Below are the 22 visionaries that
paved the way in Prince George's County:

Throughout its history, the
Hyattsville/Landover (MD) Alumni Chapter has
prepared many men to become leaders within the
Fraternity and in the community. But becoming a
leader in our chapter is not just given to anyone;
it must be earned by hard work and dedication. At
Hyattsville/Landover, Achievement is not just a
word; it's a way of life.
