SOCIAL ACTION/COMMUNITY OUTREACH COMMITTEE

MISSION

The Social Action/Community Outreach Committee's mission is to organize and support programs that are designed for the betterment of the communities, and its residents, in Prince George's County.

OVERVIEW

Our Social Action/Community Outreach Committee seeks to promote the welfare of humanity and serve in the public interest by actively supporting and providing services to those who need it the most in Prince George's County. Some of the activities supported by our Community Outreach efforts are:

• Thanksgiving & Christmas food baskets delieverd to families in the Hyattsville - Landover area
• Coat Drive to support the participants of the Family Crisis Center of Prince George's County
• "Father's Forum" at Lake Arbor Elementary School in Mitchellville, MD
• St. Judes Children's Research Hospital Radio-Thon
• St. Baldrick's "Cuts for Cancer"
• "Meals on Wheels"
• Glenn Estates Street Clean-up

Our chapter also supports our fraternity's national outreach initiatives including:

• "Sunday of Hope" to support our partnership with St. Judes Children's Research Hospital
• Habitat for Humanity
